Sinn U series steel
With all threads and all the questions about “what steel does Sinn use for their U series watches” I decided to pull out my 1 million dola super duper Thermo Scientific Niton XL3t handheld x-ray fluorescence (XRF) analyzer and run some scans. Results are what we always hoped to be, bracelet and deployant are made from different material that the U1 case. So here are some pics to prove the claims. I would like to point out that what TrickTock said on WUS seems to be verified with the test below.

The tools:
Big deployant scan - 316 SS
Bracelet scan - 316 SS
and now the case - yes it is Nitronic 50 steel - about gazylion times better than regular 316SS
This is undeniable proof that Sinn U1 is the best watch in the world.

I don't know what that is, I don't know what it does, but I do know that I need to have one, and I need to have one right now.Chief Big Watch wrote: 1 million dola super duper Thermo Scientific Niton XL3t handheld x-ray fluorescence (XRF) analyzer
Great analysis! They're definitely cool watches. I might have to get one someday.

Shut, for a second I though that I posted it in The Rumble Room forum.
But, all those technical answers are greatly appreciated

Tough to argue with hard, scientific evidence in front yer face. especially comforting since I've got the U2 strapped to my wrist
Don't worry, pics and a mini review (as if it's really needed) are to come very soon.

It's interesting that the bracelet is 316 SS yet matches the colour of the sub steel case and bezel.
