The U1 Professional
The U1 Professional
I've had my U1 Pro for about a year and a half, and it still makes me smile every time I wear it. I've always been a U1 guy, and had a U1 SDR for years, which I beat the crap out of, and ended up selling for no good reason. I knew when the U1 Pro was announced that I'd have one. Took me a while to fund it, but it eventually made its way onto my wrist. The fact that this watch was the creation of our very own Chris makes it extra cool, of course. In no particular order, I love the following:
-no date
-left-sided crown placement
-domed crystal (all U1s should have this)
-large, red Sinn logo, echoing the EZM1
-the overall EZM1-type color scheme, which is subdued, but with the perfect amount of pop provided by the red accents
-great lume
- fully tegimented construction
- And I can't prove it, but I feel that the dial has a subtle gray-brown color to it that comes out in sunlight, which I don't recall being present with my prior U1
As far as chunky, mid-priced dive watches go, I've had a few, but this is far and away my favorite (even beating out the Pelagos, which I also love). This thing rocks on the original bracelet, rubber, NATOs, and even leather (I really enjoyed it on a Chronissimo this winer). Anyone else still in love with the U1 Pro?

Thanks for the praise, Rahul. I’m glad they all seem to have found forever homes now.
As much as I love wearing mine, I really enjoy seeing them posted on Instagram and the forums.

Can't seem to find a worthy picture of mine to post. This will have to do. Excuse the hairy brown man wrist. On Toxic, which is a DWC match made in heaven.
Re: The U1 Professional
It’s my weekend watch. Really perfect on the rubber.
I probably have Rahul beat on the hairy arm shot.

I love the U1P and I’m glad mine stayed in DWC. I’m hoping one day to get another. I never would have sold it but I ended up having to sell most of what I had.
It’s the perfect Sinn design. I always think of it as the EZM of the U1 series. I loved wearing mine on bracelet.

Dumbest thing I’ve done: sold my U1P
Second dumbest thing I’ve done: hesitated when the chance to buy another U1P came up here.
Third dumbest thing I’ve done: that hitchhiker looked like a woman.

Absolutely love the watch. I just have an issue with clean/classic watches across the board and regardless of brand. At least mine also landed in a (somewhat) good home?

Loved it. It was just bad timing with this and the ezm1.1 back to back. Still have the ezm1.1 and is staying around....

Re: The U1 Professional
Oh yeah, forgot to add that mine is lucky #75. Can we get a roll call of DWC members who have one? Chris, me, Jason, Matt, Tom kempoman, Shannon. Anyone else? I figured we would have around 20% of these here, but maybe not.
Re: The U1 Professional
Had one but found it didn't get worn so it moved along.

Re: The U1 Professional
#25 checking in here. Got it from Zack. Regular U1 did not do it for me, this one definitely does.
Re: The U1 Professional
I miss my U1 Pro. Absolutely love the design but after several attempts at a U1 I just find the weight too much for me.
Re: The U1 Professional
Chris reserved me # 2. I feel honored.mattcantwin wrote: ↑Sun Apr 28, 2019 6:07 amI got mine from Matt, lucky #8, but Chris has the coolest number.

Nice looking watch as most of the Sinn line is. They have some unusual ways to maintain the watch internally. Inert gas is loaded inside the watch and also they use cooper sulphate capsules inside many of their watches. The only problem is when they do that the watch has to go back to Germany to be serviced and have those features renewed. That's why I have never owned one. Good luck with these. They look very nice.
The reason I carry a 45 is because Colt don't make a 46.
