WatchBuys Orange County, CA Road Show

Post by CGSshorty » Mon Feb 25, 2019 8:35 am

WatchBuys has announced that their next Road Show will take place in Orange County California, and registration is now open.

The dates for this show are Friday, March 8 through Sunday, March, 2019, and you may choose one of three sessions on each of those days.

Although the event is free advance registration is required.

Attending a Road Show is a great way to see the watches they carry in person including the very large Sinn Collection and other watches by Dirk Dornblueth, Jochen Benzinger, Stefan Kudoke, Thomas Ninchritz, Fortis and others.

This event always fully books so to have the best selection of dates and times follow this link to register:

This is the first year I haven't gone to the San Francisco show in six years or so. Always good to see Tim and Rob and the latest stuff from Sinn, Hanhart, etc. Hopefully next year.

Looking forward to seeing pics from the OC show...

Rob & Tim are very cool people to do these roadshow’s

It was a very nice viewing today, small group (8), so it was super casual.

This is amazing in the flesh Image

EZM10 is a beast! I wanted to love it, but it wasn’t for me.

Pleasantly surprised by the EZM13

The U1 Blue was sweet, but I really wanted to see the U1 S Blue

3006 Hunter is super cool Image

Wanted to love the 936 but its side profile is like a keg of beer.

In the end, the UX blew me awayImageImageImage
Insane legibility. At extreme viewing angles it’s like the dial is printed on the crystal...amazing clarityImage

They had their other brands as well - Hanhart, Nomos, Fortis and some higher end “hand made” watches.

I’m already looking forward to next years showing.

I took my wife and had a great time as always. Really appreciate them coming out...they are good people. I liked the blue U1 (pictured next to my 212). Didn't take many pictures.

After the event we went to South Coast Plaza to look at more watches- big Lange was the highlight. Got yelled at for taking pictures in Panerai. Would have been nice if they had just asked if we needed help vs. ignoring us. I have come to realize I don't like fancy watch shops, boutiques, and most of the people associated with these places. Sort of turns my stomach.... Makes me appreciate the guys at Watchbuys even more.
