So when does Michael Kobold release his statement saying that he knew him?

I'm sure Sinn was very proud of PT Kobold.

That didn't take long. He probably already had it drafted and ready to fire at will.

As much as I do like the old Kobold/Sinn... I can now say I have no plan to ever get one. Too bad Sinn took him on at his start... but I’m sure he actually had money to pay for his work back then.

Anyway- Helmut is a legend.

Did they just refer to a dead person as being a living legend?

A life well lived, RIP.

On TZ UK there’s a Kobold/Sinn 156 for sale.
One of 20? Replacement parts.

So does this mean Helmut isn't driving one of the fire trucks?

Too soon?

He's driving the fire truck in the sky.

We should leave Kobold out of this Sinn had nothing to do with Kobold watches co. at the end of his life. Never heard of any one getting screwed by Sinn. He had the love of watches that we all have here.

I don't see how a guy dying at 102 is something to be sad about.
cheers,

I think you misunderstood the comments; it’s all negative on Kobold, not Sinn.

Agreed. He made it to 102 and that’s plenty.

A couple other things come to mind...

- While Sinn started the company that bears his name, aren’t most of the watches that we associate with the brand more the work of Lothar Schmidt?

- Wasn’t Sinn a fighter pilot for the bad guys in WW2?

Nobody's gonna fight him for the credit of Kobold, that's for sure.
