EZM3F???
EZM3F???
So right now I have an EZM3 and I love it except (I must be getting old) because I really struggle big time to see the red on black date. I was thinking, should I sell it and go for an EZM3F? I know it's slightly thinner - has anyone tried it? What do you think? Did you like the cleaner dial etc.?
Regards,
Mark

Pretty are a 3 and 3F are identical except for the lack of numbers on the dial.

The red/black dates have always been tough for me to read. But they look cool in pics.

I had one. Loved it. Kicked myself in the sack for letting it go.
Differences are;
- bi directions bezel, with same number design as EZM1
- slightly thinner than "3"
- no numbers on dial
- white date numbers, easier to see
- 200m water resistant where "3" is 500m

Unfortunately there is no right/wring answer - it comes down to how much value to put on having a date that is instantly readable.
I've owned both and yes the date is more visible on the F but that wasn't a priority for me a...I just prefer the OG version but that's just me
If you prefer the white date then go for it - either way both are great!

Re: EZM3F???
I've been wanting an EZM 3 for years and I'm about ready to get one. Then along comes the 3F throwing choice into the mix. The cleaner looking dial is very nice but is it worth the extra dollars? I actually like the red on black date wheel but I'd need my glasses on to see the date in red or white.
The 3F is actually a pilots watch with the bezel numbers counting down rather than up on the divers version.

I had no clue it was thinner. Good to know

a no-date version would have me fully chubbed.

Was that the 2016 one, running 9 seconds a day fast? 9 seconds fast seems quite a lot, surely they are more accurate than that?
Being filled with Argon gas the local watchmaker can't just pop it open and adjust it.

Unless you don't care about the argon, since it doesn't really do anything.
Re: EZM3F???
I don't get too excited over a few seconds, especially since individual experiences can vary. He said 9 sec, but was that continuous on wrist or off at night? Lots of variables.snootydog wrote:Was that the 2016 one, running 9 seconds a day fast? 9 seconds fast seems quite a lot, surely they are more accurate than that?

FWIW, I talked to RGM about making small adjustments and then refilling with Argon gas. It was about $85-100 as I recall. It was $125 to replace only the copper sulfate capsule and refill with gas.
