and that seems to be just untrue. I found a YouTube video of a guy taking apart a U1 replica and "fixing" it to be more "authentic". That led me to looking for Sinn replica sites and I found a whole host of them.

There was a pretty good thread on the Sinn replica concerns on WUS a while back. Certainly something to be aware of and vet your sellers as best you can.

Derek - that's my point. There are a bunch out there and the U series seem to be the favorites. I've seen them offered from $128 to $399 with all sorts of claims made.

The point is that the idea that Sinn's are safe because they have not been replicated is just plain false.

It disgusts me that they're replicating Sinn's U series like this. I have ALWAYS wanted to get a U1... always figured I'd get a gently used one to save a few bucks, and not have to worry about picking up a POS fake... then a couple of months ago I did a search and found out I was totally mistaken...


Now a Rolex to me would be WAYYYY too much of a gamble to buy used, I've heard the fakes they're coming out with now are just way to close to tell. It'd definitely have to be someone I knew and was absolutely certain I wouldn't get burned by. Just sayin.

I dont think any brand of watch is safe from the replicators,even the humble Seiko 007. I proudly showed this one on here and it even took the fella who used too mod my watches half an hour with it before he said something might not be right here.
