Guinand HS100

Post by unsub073 » Fri Sep 09, 2016 9:40 am

https://www.guinand-uhren.de/hs100en/hs100.html
2016, Helmut Sinn is turning 100-years-old. To mark the occasion, the Guinand brand, which Helmut Sinn accompanied for more than half a century and thus half of his life, is dedicating a limited edition watch to its key mentor – the HS100.

I always wanted a Guinand, and this was a perfect excuse to pick on up. I can't wait for this one to show up.

That's sharp indeed. Great alternative to Sinn

The stock pic shown above doesn't do it justice. The pics on the site are really good- makes me want to sell my 103 for one of these.

Congrats on the chrono. The Model 31 pilot handwind with a second stop feature is killer too.
only accurate watches are interesting

This is going to force my hand to consolidate some stuff. I've been putting it off for way to long.

That seems to be a problem across the board with the Guinand site. Their pictures are awful, some like the one in this thread are just terrible renderings.

I like that these watches are a lot of what Sinn used to make...rock solid watches at affordable prices without all the gimicky BS.
That's a great looking watch.

Google Translate seems to work pretty well on this site.

Look in the tan area at the top, above where it says "home", there is a DE and EN. Click on EN and it translates the site to English.

It works on the product page, but doesn't seem to work on the ordering pages.

You have to click on "EN" after you get to your cart. It translates everything back to English except for the price.

That's really special. Reminds of the early Kobold watches when they were cool cause they were rebranded Sinns

Just got an email about my order.
Just to keep you informed about the status of your order of the HS100: The watch is assembled and the engraving of the your personal no. of limitation has been done.
We are now in the process of starting the last tests.

Looking forward to this showing up.

Showed up today. Got # 91 out of 100, which was my 3rd choice as far as numbers went. I am going to keep it on the stock strap for a couple of days.

Nice.

Looks much nicer in-the-metal than in the picture. The saturation is way too high in the picture and makes the red look too prominent. Looks good on the wrist.
