They are on the WatchBuys site now. There is a video in German with English subtitles that shows some of the new testing.

Thanks for the heads up, Chris. I always wonder if the non TESTAF model like a EZM13 shall have the same performances.

Re: New Sinn TESTAF DIN 8330 models
That's a good question. I can't imagine there is a significant enough difference in the case designs that a 13 wouldn't pass all the testing, but I don't know for sure.kempoman wrote:Thanks for the heads up, Chris. Okay, I'm falling in love with the 103 Ti UTC IFR.
It's a beautiful world! Gerald.

The new 103 is more of a fail the more I see it. 30min counter? Dumb decision:

I like the layout of the 103 UTC TESTAF, but love the hands better on the 103 UTC IFR. I believe the GMT hand is also lumed unlike the one in the TESTAF.
I would think the aesthetics will be excellent on the IFR in the flesh.

I think the 103 TESTAF and TESTAF UTC blow the new one out of the water.
I've had them all, but like rahul I prefer the bottom of the barrel, 103 acrylic..

Or even this-
But a Sinn pilot in any form is better than most choices.

I agree with you Ben. The syringe hands make the watch, and it is the lack of those that is preventing me from getting the more modern techy Sinn chronos. A vintage Sinn 103 (101) with nice patina would be the grail watch for me.

100% agree. Wish I could find a 101.

And it has been chosen...
I asked my 9 year old son this morning which he preferred and why.
Drum roll please......
The UTC TESTAF. I tried to like the IFR, but my son agrees with my first choice. That was easy enough.
I think if the date window on the IFR had the same white square outline as in the TESTAF, it would have at least balanced the IFR dial.

The 101 is absolute perfection. You guys can keep your CuSO4 capsules, DIAPAL escapements, and sapphire crystals, old school Sinn does it for me.BBK357 wrote:blowfish89 wrote:I agree with you Ben. ^I am looking to buy something like that. If you see one let me know. Also there is a cool Sinn 103 Herbert Meyer LE from 2014 with faux patina markers, can't find that one anywhere either.

Re: New Sinn TESTAF DIN 8330 models
That Herbert Mayer edition has always appealed to me. I've been looking for months with no luck. I even called the store in Frankfurt, spoke to a great dealer over there (Ralf Beinenz at RLX5513), and began directly messaging people on Instagram who post photos of it. No luck whatsoever. One of the Instagram owners said that he scooped up his Herbert Mayer LE from a seller who didn't realize it was an LE. Whether apocryphal or true, it's not encouraging!blowfish89 wrote:^I am looking to buy something like that. If you see one let me know. Good luck in your search.

^^
Yep, only seen one for sale.
It is one of the best looking Sinn models I've ever seen. Love the hands and the date only function.
