Sinn 556i M Mocha fresh from Basel

Post by pete26 » Thu Apr 14, 2016 4:04 am

hi guys,

Being a huge fan of Sinn and their quality I was on the lookout for a nice watch that did just one thing. Tell time and do it well. My previous Sinns (pun intended) tended to be very obvious with huge lumed arabics and stark black and white tones. This 556i is smaller than my previous 556 and the dial and applied markers give it a more subdued elegant appearance without forsaking the rugged Sinn quality of 20 Bar resistance and Teutonic efficiency in the case design. The case while brushed has a nice finish and the watch just seems to be a seamless design.

I am finding subdials difficult to read and unless a date has a cyclops it's impossible for me to read without using my reading glasses and squinting. I saw this on my local AD's website and had to have it. The size is perfect and the mocha dial just shimmers. I particularly like the applied markers and the lume seems to last all night.

I like it, a great everyday watch that can dress up or down, a suitable candidate for the 'one' watch.

Thanks for looking.

Very nice. I'm waiting on a grey one that I'm positive will be too small for me.

My regular 556i says hello. I like the brown dial.
