I just got an email from Watchbuys that Sinn delivered earlier than expected on the U1's on bracelet. Here's the link: http://www.watchbuys.com/store/pc/viewP ... roduct=415

Correct me if I'm wrong, but that price is cheaper than what it had been in the past for the U1 on bracelet. Somebody scoop these up - first come, first serve. I'd do it, but we all know how that'd turn out (and I like sleeping in my own bed...inside the house  )

Prices dropped about a week ago +- on watches because of the recent drops in the value of the Euro. There is an reported plan to up the prices in August but that's based on telephone conversations with Rob at Watchbuys.

BTW, the prices on the bracelets after the sale have NOT dropped from what I could tell having recently bought one prior to the price drops on the watches. $390 for a Tegimented prior to the drop and still $390 as of a couple of days ago. Makes the drop of the ones on bracelet EVEN BETTER pricewise IMHO.

Does anyone recall the price for the U2 on Steel prior to the recent price drop?

for some reason, i keep thinking it was around the $2200 mark - if that's the case, then the price went up, but I could be completely wrong.

That's a pretty reasonable price on bracelet.
They were right around 1k (I think?) when they first came out and I bought one.
Though I got mine from Markus Tschopp (sp?)
No bracelet available then.
U1's are slick but I'd get a UX if I had the funds.

I'm pretty sure it was $2740, for some reason that number has been stuck in my head for a while, mostly because I can't believe how much they've gone up in the last 3 or 4 yrs since I got one new. ($18-1900?)

Thanks. That would be around an 11% price drop. But it makes sense with the Euro drop and all. The U2 is calling to me.....must resist......... :hand:

Nice price at the moment for sure, and the bracelet rocks the house.

:scream: I'm so on the fence about this. Think it's too similar to my bauhaus? I"m not ditchin' the UTS though. They would have to share space

Wow. That is surprising. I paid nearly that for a 1st year U1 back in February. Price drop? What is that??? This never happened to me with the big name, Swiss moguls. It's like investing in micro brands. :tap:

If they made a U1 w/o date, I'd be ALL over it.

I just think the date window is so unfinished. It's literally the ONE thing keeping me from buying the U1 again.

I always forget that it even has a date. Basically, it's not even there; it just blends into the background. (i.e. not the easiest to read)

I can confirm that there's no friggin break on new Sinn bracelets.
Of which I might have need very soon.

Yes, same price as pre-price drop. Makes buying them on the watch at initial purchase an even bigger deal.

refreshing this topic: are we in North America with WB and pre-owned off the forums as our options?

I`ve bought 3 watches off Neil at Chronomaster, he`s a real stand up guy. Not sure he`ll ship to the states, but you can alway shoot him an email and ask. I`ll be more than happy to order one for you if not, specially if it`s the U1 your after and you`ll let me fondle it for a day or so  :jerk:
Only problem here is if customs get their hands on it, then it`s gonna be 25% on top of the buying price :banghead:

Neither here nor there, but I snagged a WU sale on a U1, got it on the 11th. I've been checking it against the atomic time, and see that it is consistently running slow...

by 1.3xx seconds a day.

I'll think I'll keep it...

Good tech, that piece of kit.
