244

Post by jtbenson » Mon Oct 06, 2014 9:32 am

Sinnheads,

Educate me on the model 244 ti. I saw someone post a pic of this heretofore unknown to me simple-dialed beauty on usn (kelly was there) and I'm smitten.
Ti: check; reasonable size: check; simple dial: check; great stablemate for the ezm-1: check; hinged lugs: bonus; date: could live without, but well integrated; scarcity: the hurdle
I found this pdf of the sinn catalog entry for the watch online: 244catpdf but it doesn't state years of production, or total run numbers. Essentially, I'm trying to determine how likely or unlikely it may prove to source one on the used market.

Appreciate any insight from those who are familiar with this model.

cheers, jason

Only thing I know about the 244 is that I've only seen a couple for sale in recent years. Also they are chronometer grade.

Sorry, not much info here!

thanks Ben, that affirms my suspicion that this would prove damn near impossible.

here's the pic responsible for my curiosity (posted by user 'Dan FO' at USN)

another watch i could easily share with the wife on NATO, which seems to be the only way I can get away with adding anything at the moment :banghead:

A buddy of mine has one. They are quite nice and IMO fairly unique. The Ti is a little rough compared to something more modern like a Pelagos. I like them. Score one if you can, by all means.

How big is that watch? It looks tiny in the wrist shot, and I like smaller watches.

That's cool. Can you post a close up of the adapters? I've never seen this one.
