All Better! Including Before and After shots

Post by mattcantwin » Thu Aug 07, 2014 12:46 pm

The Sinn 903 returned from RGM today.

The repair for the cracked rear crystal ended up including the full treatment:

Image

I damaged the rear crystal by banging the watch into a doorjamb, knocking the spring-bar loose from the case

and then the watch fell hard to the concrete.

After the repair...

I am going to be much more careful wearing this from now on...

especially after looking at the following pair of before and after pictures.

That seemed quick. Good job by RGM. Wear it on a NATO from now on. Or at least find springbars that won't let go like that.
only accurate watches are interesting

Very nice.... and very cool that you already have it back (too bad for the wallet).

Wallet shots FTW!

Glad it's back home Matt. Wear it on NATO, because everything tastes better with ketchup.

NATOs are both good and bad. The nylon can grab the spring bar shoulders and pull the spring bar out of the hole, which a metal bracelet won't do (rubber may, but is less likely to). This happened to me last week and was kind of scary because all of the sudden I noticed my Sea Dweller flopping around on my wrist, and that could have easily led to a major mishap (especially because I was very very drunk at the time).

Looks better now, glad it seems to be sorted to your satisfaction Matt. Sorry to see the effect on the wallet, though.

Easy to solve this. Install shoulderless springbars. Nothing for the NATO to snag on. Just snip them out when you want to change back to bracelet or whatever. Works great for NATO's.
