I love my U1
I've had my U1 a little over a month now so here are my thoughts on it....in short,i love it.
This was another of the watches i fell for at first sight, just like my Doxa. This was a few years ago and because of its price i really didnt expect to ever own one and i thought the same about my Doxa but after a few years and some wheeler dealing i managed it.
Always risky buying a watch you have only ever seen in photos,i made that mistake with the Accutron Astronaut re issue, but all is well,it exceeded my expectations.
It wears really comfortably on the rubber and the dial is just right for my requirements, one i only have to take one quick glance at to see the time. Plain and simple bright white against black with that nice splash of colour to stop it being boring.
The quirky shape hand ends also make it nicely different from the crowd.
Of course, for all those who have one,you know all this already

As well you should, Andy the U1 is engineered for dependability, legibility, credibility and able to handle more than we ask it to do. Part legend, myth, reality and all wrapped together is a way that is more than the sum of it's parts.

Cool Andy. There is no other watch quite like it out there. I've had 4 and next year been thinking about adding another and wearing it MC style-ie beating the crap out of it like my Seiko and Omega.

A Sinn U1 is next on my list

Sinn makes a ton of great watches. The U1 is definitely a great encapsulation of the brand DNA in one solid, iconic package.
I love the way they designed the U-series overall. It's very well thought out. You could own all 4 and have a very diverse collection covering a lot of horological bases.
And leading the way for the collection is the good ole U1. Easiest of the four to maintain, probably the most legible, and purely Sinn.

Well said Matt. I will be owning a U1 possibly next year, but in the meantime, I decided to keep my U2 Meisterbund III.

I seem to remember one of you ballers mentioning that many here have owned the U1 more than once. I can see that (though 4 is a little excessive, Moish )

Love the almighty U1. It is the mechanical G shock.
Re: I love my U1
I would have a difficult time deciding between my U1 and my Rolex sub if I was forced to make a choice and have only one watch. The sub is still my favorite, but the U1 is all business...

With you 100% on this. I'm on my 2nd U1, and it is my daily watch, without question. Love it.
No thanks, I'm trying to cut down

I'm with Matt, one of a few that I really miss. Watch works well on rubber, leather or the bracelet! Glad you're enjoying it Andy!

Very nice Snooty!
I picked up Ian Kremke's U1 recently and have been very impressed with it. And Ian wasn't too shabby to deal with either

Re: I love my U1
I've been contemplating on purchasing a tegimented bracelet for my U2 Meisterbund III. Is it worth the $390.00 at Watchbuys? From the pictures, I think the U1/U2 looks best on bracelet.
It's a beautiful world! Gerald.

At least I still have a Sinn in the box.
Re: I love my U1
Got to try on Steven's this weekend, and was really impressed. Built like a tank, but a really smooth movement. Don't think I'd trade the Sea Dweller for it, but it would be hard to find a better hardcore tool watch.
