Sinn Manufactum Chrono
Sinn Manufactum Chrono
This could be one of the worst chrono designs of all time, but the watch sure is pretty.
Re: Sinn Manufactum Chrono

Re: Sinn Manufactum Chrono
The 3 rings on the dial are a tachymeter. You time the distance for a mile, and it shows your speed. Each rings takes you to the next set of lower speeds if you are over 60 seconds.
So starting at 12 if you stop it after 30 seconds, your speed was 120 (outer ring)
stop it after 90 seconds and your speed it 40 (middle ring)
Stop it after 150 seconds and your speed is 23ish (inner ring)
And while most tachymeters only cover you for the first 60 seconds, Sinn again brings extra functionality to the table. Now, who the hell uses a tachymeter, but that's not really the point is it.
Sinn rocks the F'n house.
(except when they get a bug up their but to do some bizarre LE)

The dial design isn't bad at all if you're looking for a 3-minute tachymeter for some reason. I like the lack of minute and hour counters; nothing wrong with this one at all. Faux-vintage lume is a bit trendy, but it sure looks good.

Love it and the thought behind it, just like the EZM7.

So you have to manually track what ring you're on?
I can't say I'm a big fan of syringe hands but that seems to be the thing to do for modern vintage right now.

I'm usually a big Sinn fan, but this one doesn't get me too excited... interesting effort though
