There was a waiting list for the last few unsold pieces. Give them a call and let them know you're interested in case one shakes loose.

Its finally here.

Very well done. Chris, my hats off to you on pulling this together.

Got it with the bracelet, but using an old sinn rubber strap I had from a U1 a while back.

the no date, clean dial and dome crystal are all the difference.

Saturday mornin' smile...

First post here. I've been on WUS and Paneristi for a while with the same callsign. Even had some arguments with Chris, big shocker, over Kolbold in the past... :stir:

Have to say, I have been wearing this thing for a couple weeks straight. Amazing watch. The wait and weight were soon forgotten. This thing just kicks so much ass!

Sinn U1 Professional

So I've had mine for just over a week. It has gained 4 sec a day and after wearing it exclusively, no marks of any kind thanks to the tegmented treatment.

At first I was not too thrilled for it, as it was based off of the U1 and I was hoping for something in a 103/ezm1/ezm 13 case. After seeing the final product and seeing how good of a job Chris did on the design- I had to get one.

The ezm1 is one of my all-time favorite watches. When I look down at my wrist I love what I see. It's like a beefed up 3 hand (well, non-Chrono) version of the ezm1. This U1P is definitely the Extreme Mission Timer version of the U1.

The dial and red script is my favorite part of this watch. It all works great together- the redesigned dial, the white hands, blue lume, tegmented case that looks titanium colored, the relocated crown, the slightly domed crystal... and no date. I was on the fence due to it being no date but now I see that this is the best decision for the design. I am actually getting used to not having a date function. I love the black SDR type bezel. It looks great and I know it's super scratch resistant.

Now for what I don't like about it....
For years I've leaned toward smaller watches and titanium because I have issues wearing heavy watches, or just sometimes it may be the way the case shape fits on my wrist. I mostly wear watches on my right wrist now because my left side is so screwed up with nerve issues. Well I've never owned a U1, and they are heavy watches. I find myself switching wrist throughout the day when I start to notice my numbing/tingling.
This is something that I hope to get used to but I will just have to see how it works. Makes me dream of the U1P in titanium.

The size is actually very wearable even though I prefer 40mm; on my 7.5 wrist it looks like a 42mm. Good proportions and does not sit tall at all.

Great watch. It turns the U1 into an entirely different beast. I'm glad i was able to grab one.

^ Well said Ben.

I've never owned an EZM1, but hope to one day. As you know, weight of the U1P can be mitigated with rubber or nylon, but it does look fantastic on bracelet.

Great post, Ben. I agree, it's such a great riff on the EZM1 dial. As far as the weight goes, I think you'll get used to it, especially if you wear it on NATO.

My U1P just came in from Germany, but unfortunately I'll need to now sell something to complete the purchase. Can't wait.

Thanks for the review, Ben. Weight is relative to what other watches we normally wear, I guess. Since I wear the XL Planet Ocean most often, the U1-P doesn't seem so heavy to me. It probably feels very heavy compared to an acrylic 103, though.

Nice review, Ben. I agree on all points. I regret moving on from mine on some days, particularly when i see all the great shots from you and the other guys. It does make me want to try an EZM1 at some point.

Great pics, Ben. Ed's right, it's much lighter on the silicon strap. I don't find it all that heavy (but I'm accustomed to wearing one or another stainless diver almost exclusively). I'm anxious to try the bracelet, though, when mine comes back from Sinn.

Forgot to update this- but thanks for the suggestion of isofrane guys. It works with my wrist way better than the bracelet, displaces the weight around the wrist. I also have jeffs Sinn rubber coming in soon.
