Heuer Monnin finally arrived

Post by demer03 » Thu Oct 27, 2011 10:33 am

A bit of sweating, but it arrived three days late. Perfect size, and an automatic to boot. Pretty scarce version with the cathedral hands.

Crystal has a couple of chips, and it was polished, so a hint of fog. When my watchmaker gets back from Switzerland, I'll see if he can fit a new crystal in it.

Heuer wanted to get into the dive watch game, and partnered with Monnin to build the first prototypes. These were made in France for Heuer.

The watch looks nice, the weather not so much. Did I tell you I went for a swim in our pool Tuesday with the girls? What is this "fall" you speak of?

Wow, that is a hell of a nice snag. Very very cool. LOVE those hands. And that dial is sweet, too.

Three fros and a snap

20mm lug width. I was bummed on the crystal, and driving by my watchmaker, I noticed he hadn't left yet. He was actually excited to see this....he's always wanted to crack one open.

Turns out the inside of the crystal had gunk on it from the service. He cleaned it while I waited...tah-dah;

Nope. The end result will be the Heuer, the Tudor, Doxa 300T Pro and Searambler, and the little Zodiac Sea Wolf.

I have half a mind to hold onto the two Zodiacs....we'll see.

Thanks!

Wait a minute, forgot this was a new watch thread....awesome watch Mike! Roughly what does one of those set you back? How hard would it be to find a bracelet for it? :thatshot:
