Doxa cases made in china?
I've been reading on some other forums about Doxa switching their case production to China, for the price of the watches that'd be pretty disappointing.
Any truth to this or is it a load of crap?

That criteria is liable to cancel out the purchase of a number of brands. For me personally, the Chinese made factor is not a death knoll . . . the QC aspect of the manufacturer is key. Doxa cases sre well done from all accounts, other hi-jinx come across as being far more frustrating.divewatchjunkie wrote:Looks like I won't be buying one then...Cool dials though.

^^true statement...parts for many watches are sourced in Asia. It does not excuse their silly behavior, however. And the does not even begin to describe that disaster of a forum and a certain dipshit mod.....

Doxa QA has full oversight on ALL aspects of their components. I own a 1200T Pro, and let me assure you, Doxa is the shit...period.
If you have big glaring concerns about Doxa, I would recommend you buy one. You won't be disappointed. Doxa makes a watch that is second to none.

You are correct for the 2 weeks before I flipped the little bitch was almost bearable. They are reasonable priced trade fodder.
Big statement given the fact that Doxa is well Doxa.......

Re: Doxa cases made in china?
I would go back to the brand if they ever came clean. Now they are just expensive Invictas. Falsely marketed and hoisted upon those who don't know any better (I was one of them!).
The "I will buy it because I like em and don't care if I'm lied to about them, then I will vigorously defend them" is watchgeek/Invicta speak.

Re: Doxa cases made in china?
This has all been hashed out before. Doxa owns a company Walca which was created to source and build oem private label watches. Walca has has a Swiss office (it's Doxa's address and and the sign on the building in Switzerland, check google earth) and a far east office for sourcing components in China. What parts are sourced in China, only Walca knows, so whether the case is specifically or not.....it is rumored some components are. This, however, is manufacturing practices worldwide. The difference is th silly smoke and mirrors Doxa plays.....divewatchjunkie wrote:dipshit mod?
Dipshit mod? Why that's TBone. Jackbooted asshole who thinks too highly of himself. Extremely rude and bad mannered individual who gets off on Internet bullying.
To 7pines credit, the watches are great...second to none???, let's not take the ball and run off the field....but the design is cool and it is fairly well executed.
I have had 16 Doxa's....got burned out on the bullshit, sold off, and am trying other things. I have one Doxa incoming, I do enjoy them. My money would be on you enjoying the watches as well.
Good luck with your decision
