Requested Info Plus A Hell Of A Lot More
I wrote to Doxa CS to get the correct size of the screwdriver to size the bracelet.
Same day response with answer plus:
We suggest to go to the nearest jeweler or watch shop. However here are the instructions to remove links.
On our bracelets, interchangeable links are held by screws.
In order to satisfy some security norms, we secure those screws with a special glue.
Therefore, adapted screwdrivers and heating system are required to disassemble those screws.
Instructions: 1. Heat the threaded part of the screw with a special heating pin or industrial heat gun until the glue’s properties change. 2. Take a screwdriver with a blade that fits the screw’s head 100% and turn anti-clockwise to unscrew. 3. Repeat the previous operation as much as needed 4. Screw back the good amount of links to fit your wrist, ATTENTION : THE SAME GLUE NEEDS TO BE APPLIED IN ORDER TO SECURE THE SCREWS.
Screwdriver size: 1.2mm
Glue: Loctite 242

Dunk the bracelet link in near boiling water for 10 seconds. That’s what I do for all my loctite knives. Repeat if necessary.
Re: Requested Info Plus A Hell Of A Lot More
That’s cool
This is what I do:
Step 1: drink a few beers
Step 2: grab the wrong size screwdriver
Step 3: repeat as necessary
Step 4: sell the watch 2 weeks later at a loss

People have had issues with sizing the Doxa bracelets since WUS has been around. It sounds like they supply shitty screwdrivers and use jbweld on the screws. My suggestion, heat it up with a crack pipe and smoke it. lol

Jbweld hahahahahaha. Why not just use Belzona 1111 for the ultimate frustration.toxicavenger wrote: ↑Tue Nov 17, 2020 7:42 pmPeople have had issues with sizing the Doxa bracelets since WUS has been around. Had this glue on my Sharkhunter several years ago. Had to send watch back to Doxa. They sent me a free rubber strap so all in all it wasn't so bad- just a pain in the ass.
Re: Requested Info Plus A Hell Of A Lot More
I had to have a watchmaker drill out one of the screws in my original 300 reissue and I had tried all the methods. Nothing worked and the included POS screwdriver broke immediately. Pain in the ass.

Yep I have some buddies who everyone of their screwdrivers broke.
My watchmaker won't size those bracelets anymore due to the hassle. It isn't every one of them that have this issue. But it is enough to cause doubts

If the Doxa forum wasn't so moderated you would.mattcantwin wrote: ↑Wed Nov 18, 2020 10:43 amI had no idea this was a thing; glad I lucked out with my 300T's.toxicavenger wrote: ↑Wed Nov 18, 2020 8:36 amYep I have some buddies who everyone of their screwdrivers broke.

Re: Requested Info Plus A Hell Of A Lot More
I bought a 1200t Sharkhunter new from Doxa several years ago (one of the original models). I didn't have any trouble with the bracelet, but the screwdriver was awful. The tip broke the first time I tried to use it on the bracelet. Once I used my far nicer screwdriver, it was no sweat, but like I said this was years ago when the company was under previous management.

I thought it lost it's "special status" over there; now it's listed with others on the Watch Brands Forum.toxicavenger wrote: ↑Wed Nov 18, 2020 11:27 amIf the Doxa forum wasn't so moderated you would.mattcantwin wrote: ↑Wed Nov 18, 2020 10:43 amI had no idea this was a thing; glad I lucked out with my 300T's.toxicavenger wrote: ↑Wed Nov 18, 2020 8:36 amYep I have some buddies who everyone of their screwdrivers broke.

DOXA is an OVER PRICED,UNDER SPEC'd(base ETA 2824,no mods)desk diver & COMPLETE waste of $ compared to other choices.
ALSO Doxa is NOT the most iconic Orange diver made..NO ONE EVER HEARD OF Doxa UNTIL WAYYY after the Seiko "Orange Monster"THE FIRST Orange Diver brought to the general public,NOT just a few hardcore divers!!!
And as for Doxa's SO CALLED History COMPARE TO the TRUE DIVE WATCH HISTORY of SQUALE watches & you will see they have NOTHING past the late 60's,UNLIKE Squale who has VERIFIABLE history back to the early 1950's & has PROVIDED DIVE WATCHES TO MANY MILITARY UNITS around the world!

It is still moderated. Maybe they have loosened up the reins a little bit, but I do know a few post are still disappearing.mattcantwin wrote: ↑Wed Nov 18, 2020 12:31 pmI thought it lost it's "special status" over there; now it's listed with others on the Watch Brands Forum.toxicavenger wrote: ↑Wed Nov 18, 2020 11:27 amIf the Doxa forum wasn't so moderated you would.mattcantwin wrote: ↑Wed Nov 18, 2020 10:43 amI had no idea this was a thing; glad I lucked out with my 300T's.toxicavenger wrote: ↑Wed Nov 18, 2020 8:36 amYep I have some buddies who everyone of their screwdrivers broke.

Apologies, I just realized the critical comment was on the Dive Watch Forum not Doxa.toxicavenger wrote: ↑Wed Nov 18, 2020 1:45 pmIt is still moderated. Maybe they have loosened up the reins a little bit, but I do know a few post are still disappearing.

Whenever there’s heavy usage of ALL CAPS I always skip. It is something that seems to have a 99.9% correlation with IQ.
Re: Requested Info Plus A Hell Of A Lot More
Use a quality screwdriver, hot water soak bracelet beforehand can help.
I had a 5000t years ago that was almost impossible to get the screws out, but the several Doxas I have had since then have been fine.
I had to dig up the old thread - blast from the past
