Doxa PVD??

Post by hobbit712 » Mon Nov 01, 2010 12:32 pm

How would you guys rate the Doxa PVD? Will it hold up well or is it pretty thin?

Thinking about a PVD version. Thanks ahead of time.

I don't know how it holds up, but I seem to remember that they do a cool mix of shiny and matte PVD thing.

I have had bad coatings before from micro-brands, but the Doxa finish was well done. Can't rate it to other, more high end companies, but it has worn well for me!

I have several PVD watches, and to me Doxa does a real nice job of it.

Thank you guys! Much appreciated.

Another question for you. Looking around the Doxa website I see the Sub1000T Sharkhunter Military Edition is sold out of 5000 pieces. However, the Professional version is still available and it was only 70 pieces. Is there not much love for this version? Too much like a pumpkin?

A PVD Pro would have been great to have yesterday

Hey mate -

I previously had a DOXA 750T Mil Pro and the PVD coating was excellent.... very high quality.

My 750T had the orange dial, PVD finish and I loved it!!!! I really regret selling that one..... will find some pics for you but I think the black / orange go great together

I seen a shot of this model on a Isofrane  , it looked incredible. They would make a great match if you ever get a chance.

One more item to note. You know how Doxa bezels are famous for picking up hairline scratches? Not one on my 750t, going on close to 3 years.
