Don't see this one here much... I love it. Solid and excellent finish.

Congrats Bill!

I won't lie, I definitely prefer the looks of the more vintage-looking Doxas, but I will say this: when I got to see the 5000 and some other models side by side at a Doxa AD, I was extremely impressed by the construction of the 5000. This was the first time I had seen Doxas IRL, and I was converted from a hater to a lover by the build quality. The 5000 one hell of a solid watch  .

I have to admit, I haven't worn mine as much as I used to. But it's still one of my favorites. I still want to try the Isofrane on it - but 2 things keeping me from it - the bracelet is sweet and not your typical "5 linker" and I can't get the lug screws to budge. Maybe I'll try some hot water tonight. I can't let Bill get all the glory here so on to the pics!

I thought you sold that one Bill...I guess not obviously. I love the 5000Ts--really nice upgrades while retaining a lot of the Doxa uniqueness.

Indeed. The ratcheting clasp is one of the best I've seen. I'd still like to see the one on the DSSD, but that's another forum. :shifty:

Bill, didn't you originally have the 5000T Carib? Wasn't that the one with the missing minute hash mark at 27 or something?

And I had the Carib... the blue just wasn't me... and I love blue.

And a 800. The dial and hands are just ugly IMHO. A great watch if you can read it in the daylight.... I thought it was too busy....

Nice Bill, just beautiful.

I want to try one, as well as an 800.

Hey Bill, I'm with you on this one. Other than my T-Graphs, the 5000T is my fav Doxa. Finishing is gorgeous on the 5000T and the dimensions hit all the right numbers IMO. Add in the beautiful bracelet, clasp and electrifying lume it makes for a lot of love. Plus it's a watch that looks good with jeans or suit.
