Re: Doxa yellow is back
Looks cool. Is it the historical reissue case with the small dial?

Re: Doxa yellow is back
It seems to be the 1200 T case with flat crystal.
It's a beautiful world! Gerald.
Re: Doxa yellow is back
How does that compare with the 300 reissue case?

That looks great. What’s the significance of Poseidon?

I might just be in on this. Any idea on pricing? Any specific link to the pre order?

Re: Doxa yellow is back
So how is it a 300 model but it specs out to a 1200T?

Re: Doxa yellow is back
It's a 300T, not a 300, which has dimensions very similar to the modern 1200T. This thing is sweet, but I hope they put a domed crystal on it.

Re: Doxa yellow is back
DOXA site states it to be limited to 300 and then if you scroll down, it states 500.
If I was to get a yellow dial, this would be it. If DOXA orange doesn’t disappoint, then yellow wouldn’t either.

Re: Doxa yellow is back
Specs state that it has a slightly domed crystal, so it won't be high domed like the 300 re-issue. ETA 2824 is high grade, not COSC.
No, it's not Tourettes.
Re: Doxa yellow is back
I love it! I love the divingstar, and I also really dig the co-branded doxa dials. I think I'm gonna have to go for this one.

Better proportions so it doesn’t wear so small.Chocodove wrote:Thicker, larger dial.Ruggs wrote:How does that compare with the 300 reissue case?

Re: Doxa yellow is back
To understand why the "Poseidon Edition" is significant, a quick primer on Doxa’s nomenclature might be useful. In the beginning, there were three versions of Doxa dive watches: the orange-dialed "Professional," for which the company is most famous, the black-dial "Sharkhunter", and the silver-dial "Searambler". These three versions were options on the earliest SUB 300 and have continued ever since. But for a brief window of time in the early 1970s, Doxa also made a version of the SUB 300T (the "T" was added in 1968 to denote the use of tritium) with a bright yellow dial, calling it the Divingstar. These bright watches were quite rare and Doxa collectors seek them out. Also in the early '70s, Doxa made a co-branded version with Poseidon, the Swedish dive gear company, putting the latter’s black and yellow trident badge on the dial. This version was made in very small numbers and to find a vintage one is rareCGSshorty wrote:That looks great. What’s the significance of Poseidon?
