300t Searambler

Post by 3cGT » Wed Oct 26, 2016 11:47 pm

Sharing the Doxa love. I have gotten on a accidental vintage buying spree, having jumped on a 6159 76 Tuna a casual browse through Watchrecon (note to self; avoid) turned up this sweet Searambler.

After many overseas purchased this one had me stressed out with postage worries and
I didn't want to get too wound up about it until it was safely in my hands.

I'm loving the greenish glow about the sides of the crystal and the subtle texture and tone variation between dial and case. I don't know about the history but his clearly been relumed, the case looks like it has been nicely restored too.

It's my first outing with the beads of rice expando, and it is a very nice change up from the usual nato, I worry though in comparison to a nato a breakage anywhere will see the watch on the ground which would not be cool.

Questions for our Doxa expert, crown without syncron logo, original or not?
Also the Doxa clasp on the bracelet, also not sure if this original?

Anyway it's a beautiful piece, feel very lucky to have now two of these 300t's and many thanks to Mike for his advice and support in the buying decision.

Cheers Rob

Congratulations on a very nice find. I have been thinking of moving my 300T pro US divers for an Searambler, I just love that color and configuration.

Damn that is gorgeous to say the least!!!!

I think Mike said a while back that sometimes they had a signed crowned. I might be wrong though. I bet Jack did that restoration also.

I love it. I would love to venture back into vintage Doxa territory again someday especially if I could snag one like this. Just beautiful.
