Good point on the warranty. But Doxa's customer service is so good I'm sure they'll take care of you (Mike, I'm only kidding!)

Even if he went to 1800-1850 I think I'd buy new. It'd have to be 400$ + under new for me to buy used I think in case of warranty issues. Doxas lose quite a bit on used market too.
I love the 1200 blue too nice watch and size.

I did contact Andy at Doxa when I was planning to sell mine, and he confirmed in writing that the warranty is transferable.

That's good to know. Their site still says that only the original owner is covered by the warranty, but maybe they've recently changed their policy and the site is out of date.

From the site:

Effective November 1st, 2008 DOXA Warranties will no longer be transferable to future owners of a previously purchased/owned DOXA SUB. The warranty will only be valid for the original purchaser/owner – i.e. the individual named as the owner with the service center.

That was my impression too and it'd be nice if they changed their policy

Brice, the policy has changed. I was told within the last month that the warranty is transferable. If you email Andy at Doxa he'll confirm it for you.

Which is shitty because they told the customer I had with the GMT dial problem there is no warranty since he was the second owner. Sounds like a loop hole they will use.

It's probably safer to assume that the official warranty policy is the one stated on the Doxa web site rather than what was said in an email from a customer service rep. It's possible he was mistaken.[/quote]
Fair enough, but I can say with certainty if anything happens to the one I sold, they're going to fix it under warranty.

Gotta agree that the tapered strap works perfect on the Doxa case. I guess that's why the original tapered BOR worked so well.

The BC 295 is (near) perfect.
And if you have always wanted to try a vintage ISO, but don't want to spend $100 + and/or can't find one- this strap is the closest in actual feel of the rubber (and thin) that I've ever come across.

The only problem I had, was that the adjustment holes are a bit far apart, so finding a good fit is hit and miss. For me it was a miss, one was too loose and slid around, the next hole was too tight and squeezed my wrist.
Unfortunately it was like this on both the Doxa 300 and Omega 2254.


It's thin, comfy, and very close to vintage ISO.

Thanks guys. I do agree with Ben and wish the holes were a little closer together, but fortunately it seems to work for my wrist for the most part. I'm usually impressed with BC straps for the price and this is no exception.

Have to agree, that BC is hot. It's not silicone like (lint magnate), is it?

What I've done before with some cheaper leather back in the day, was to cut a very thin notch in the hole that is a little too tight, and the buckle pin will slide down into the notch, so it will basically be in between, which is where I need it.

Hmm... wonder if that'll work with this

Not in rubber, it will split it.


My only issue with the BC is the 16mm taper. If it stayed at 18 or 20 it would have been perfect. Also if you have a watch with tall lugs this strap doesn't look right. On regular lugs it is perfect. For example on the MM it wouldn't work, the MM was to overpowering. On my Citizen ProDiver and my Bernhardt Binnacle it is perfect.

But the MM300 is a thick ass watch.
I just tried it again, as much as I love the dial, hands, bezel... nearly everything about it, the watch only works well on bracelet because of how thick and top heavy it is.
Yep i agree, thin rubber is a definite no for thick lug watches.
