Crystal size Doxa Sub300 no T

Post by AxodNovum » Thu Sep 18, 2014 2:31 am

I am looking for a new crystal for my Doxa 300 no T. I am not very happy taking it out te get measurements before I can find a proper replacement. Does anybody have the correct size, diameter and hight, of the original acylic crystal? Maybe even photo's of its silhouette?

Jack at IWW would be your best bet. Best in the biz for vintage Doxas.

On the No T.....polishing compound is your friend.

. Polishing is OK but won't solve the small cracks in the dial. I can live with it but keep looking for a new crystal. Jack is probably not an option because I am in Spain. I have a lead on several crystals here in Europe but I much rather be sure about the size.

Ah. Try Nanuk over at WUS. He might be able to put you in touch with a few of the guys who have the domed plexi.

I'm not sure if you managed to find the crystal however this might do the job:

The crystal is for a Jenny 913 case which according to this link was the same case as the Sub300 no T:

I've got a few 913 cased watches myself and the similarity to the Doxa can be seen straight away - including the domed crystal etc. (although my Doxa is a Sub300 T which is a slightly different size).

:headbang: Great info sugarbuzz!
Until now I have managed to find a few with just not the right height. So I have quite a collection of just in case crystals.

The funny thing is I know the Rodriquezs. They have been measuring crystal for me just a few months ago to see if they would fit. Seems they overlooked this one. Also bought crystals from them for my Aquastars.

I will give it a try and let you know how it turned out.

Here's hoping! I'll see if I can get the dimensions off one of the cases I have (I need to remove and clean the bezel on one which appears to be gunked up). I need to source a screw down crown for one of them as well.

I just got the Crystal in as we speak. Unfortunately the size is not a match. The diameter is significantly bigger. :banghead:
The Jenny 913 crystal I received measures 30,67 mm.

Let me know how your measurements go.

Is it possible to cut a crystal to the correct size?

Hi there.
I have an incoming sub300T. The crystal looks mineral to me, right ? I saw pics and it seems to be a stepped one. Any tips about a replacement one would help much.
Thanks everyone !

Dive plexi if standard are quite esay to find with the correct measurement.
