Hey there fella! How's about a little introduction and tell us a little about yourself. Just a warning, but this is a rowdy bunch.
As for the watch, I think I've seen one on some random watch sellers online. Value seemed to be under $200 but I can't be certain. Have you tried the search function (ie the googler)?

Re: Vintage Doxa Female Watch - need opinion
Hi,
i mainly registered because of this watch. This is the only watch that i have and think it might be worth something in terms of history and general value.
I tryed googling, watched over 1000 images, my eyes are bleeding Searched ebay, but could not find it.
Then i found this forum in hope that someone can maybe provide more information.

Not an expert, but my guess is it isn't worth very much. The very fact that you didn't find much of anything in your internet search is telling. Do you have a local jewelry store/watchmaker/appraiser you could take it to? They might be able to help.
Re: Vintage Doxa Female Watch - need opinion
Yeah i thought that to, but then those numbers on the back must mean something, and after researching the company, they did make / still do quality watches.
I tried contacting them, but no response.
I will try to bring it to a local watch store in hope that they can provide more information.
Anyways i will be watching this thread, maybe a dark knight with a answer will rise.

Re: Vintage Doxa Female Watch - need opinion
The only Doxas of any real value are the Subs, and maybe pre-1950s chronos and triple dates.
I would say a steel/gp, ladies quartz Doxa from what appears to be the eighties or nineties probably has very little value.
A quick scan of various Doxa watches on Ebay will illustrate the point.

Just look a the metal finish. It's terrible. That should give you its value.

Is it just me, or is that bracelet longer than a middle school production of "the crucible"? WTF?
Re: Vintage Doxa Female Watch - need opinion
Could be, but my guess is the watch itself is really small and almost meant to be worn like a woman's bracelet - i.e. loose on the wrist.Sidheguitarist wrote:Is it just me, or is that bracelet longer than a middle school production of "the crucible"? WTF?
Re: Vintage Doxa Female Watch - need opinion
I got a reply from West End Watch Co.
Dear Sir,
We don't have any information about this watch in our archives.
It may date back to the 1920's. At that time, Doxa, West End and Ernest Borel were part of the same group, that's probably why West End Watch Co. appears on the back.
Unfortunately, we can't say anything more about this watch.
Doxa brand belongs now to the company WALCA SA in Biel (CH).
Sorry that we can't help more.

The technology has been around since the '20s but not used in wristwatches until the '60s I believe.CesarG wrote:Quartz in the 20's.

Nice necklace watch.

Yeah, sorry but whomever wrote that reply clearly paid no attention to the picture. The 20s pre-date quartz watches by several decades. Unless it's sentimental, this watch really has no value.

Budim,
I'm afraid it's a waste of time trying to track any info on that watch. It's a quartz from the 70's, and is pretty much worthless. I'd even question whether it is a Doxa - the dial is terrible, the DOXA script is wayyy off centre. Bottom line is that you'd be lucky to find someone who would give you $2 for it.

I'd give $2.50.
But you have to pay for shipping.
