1200T EOL
Re: 1200T EOL
Stuff like this makes me wish I had a time machine. I'd buy so many Rolexes...demer03 wrote:Dunno Jeff....my Searambler originally sold for under $200 in '67. I guess if you wait it out, technically that's correct

Re: 1200T EOL
Here's what DOXA had to say on their official forum:scurfa wrote:Must be running out Doxa posted a comment on WUS saying how the used 1200T's will increase in value in the next couple of weeks.
"Hi, there were 1200 pieces planned but not yet entirely made of the main models, those are the Professional and Sharkhunter, the other models like the DWL, NUMA, Project Aware were made in their consecutive limited editions. The Searambler is an exception with only 300 pieces made until now. The exact numbers made of the 2 main models will be available in a few weeks."
So it doesn't sound like they sold the run as originally planned.

Hope they come out with something new in the 42mm range. Until then, I'll be waiting.

Re: 1200T EOL
Hi, no, not really planning to go above the $2,000 mark and the reason, is that the SUB5000T and the SUb1500T sold 3 X as fast as the smaller sized SUb1200T, it is odd, the majority look for the classic size, but end up buying the larger models, can't explain...JBZ wrote:Dumb. The 1200t is the best watch they ever released IMHO. Maybe they want to move to an all $2,000 + line-up.

BTW, $200.00 in 1967 had the same buying power as $1,416.71 in 2014. Annual inflation over this period was 4.25%.
Funny, but this really just a coincidence, the DOXA SUB1200T sold for $256 back in 1967, this is $1815.00 in today's $$

No Sir, all what is remaining is less than 60 pieces , that includes all versions, the pro, sharkhunter, Searambler, NUMA and PAIIscurfa wrote:And when they say they have a few left they could mean a few thousand!

Yeah, you could be right, the $20K DOXA SUB Tourbillon is coming up in a few weeks and is a total departure from the DOXA history, you guys can sometimes predict the futuremoishlashen wrote:demer03 wrote:They need a 1000 series again.....no hev.... On a REAL beads of rice bracelet.
Nope-not enough profit margin and it would honor the history of Doxa too much. Onward and upward with the Invicta-ization of the once beloved brand.
cheers

I hope they don't abandon the classic size, Sven. It would be a mistake.

1200T Pro was one of the very, very few watches (not just Doxas) I bought brand spankin' new. Don't regret it at all. In fact, I kinda want another 600T, 1000T, or 1200T....

Re: 1200T EOL
Every time a Doxa thread comes up, I start reminiscing about my dearly departed 5000t pro and 750t Searambler. Then I go to watch recon. None last I looked. I would want to see a 1200 in the steel before jumping on one though. You guys that have (or had) a 1200 and have some wrist shots, could you post em here? That silver dialed siren sings to me every time I see one.

You obviously didn't actually check WatchRecon because there actually is a 750t SR for sale now.BSears wrote:Every time a Doxa thread comes up, I start reminiscing about my dearly departed 5000t pro and 750t Searambler. Let me rephrase it - the last time I looked at watch recon, which was a few weeks ago.
