Who did the work? And Mike has done this quite a few times and I applaud some one taking the effort and money to bring back a classic.

Congrats

I had a momentously funny joke about breaking teh restoration up in to 6 peices, selling to Mike each time at a profit, buying back at a loss etc etc etc comparing the watch to a low risk bond heavy mutual fund but I decided against it :) .

It's not a joke when you're talking about Mike.

This seems like a good enough place for my first post in this forum. Fantastic job on that watch. Takes a real passion to spend the time and money bringing a near dead watch back to life.

Well the guy I bought it from got it at a fleamarket. My guess is that it was used by somebody who did some welding with it and did not have it serviced for quite a long time. Which is rectified now. Acquired an original Doxa marked bracelet although I'm still not convinced whether the bracelet which came with it (Expandro) originally came with the watch (or not).

Ask dremer03 and he can tell you about the bracelet.

Bracelet is in his opinion not original to the watch. Which is no problem because I just acquired a correct one :-)
