1967 Doxa Sub 300 "Black Lung"

Post by demer03 » Mon Jul 01, 2013 9:22 am

Just arrived. I have to say, It's everything the seller described. Purchased in 1968 at a dive supply shop in Chicago and has never left him. I am the second owner. Came with a mint condition brochure, owners manual, service center guide, and all the extra links for a full bracelet. Has spent it's life in Hawaii, and the trit hands and date window lume pip are sun baked as would be expected. I need to polywatch the acrylic but it has the signed crown, bezel operates, but is a little loose and doesn't quite line up....hey, it's 46 years old! Bracelet ratchets and adjust perfectly.

Nothing much to add but "wow".

Congrats. Now that the Mike-verse has gone back on track. Stay away from the Sales forums and enjoy that classic.

I have seriously considered taking a leave of absence from forums altogether....The Black Lung and the 1964 Seamaster 300 is all I should need. Hell, I owned my first 1972 Doxa sub for years until I found forums.

I wore nothing but my Datejust for 10 years before I really started exploring the watch forums. I also noticed that my clothing purchases went down remarkably after I stopped being a regular on Styleforum.

Just my opinion, but it might be worth taking a break and enjoying what you have, even though we'd miss your company.

The Black Lung looks terrific!
