Good Affordable Service??
My 600 T-Graph is acting a bit funky. Are there any good AFFORDABLE Doxa service centers in the States? I'm not ready for a $500 service job on this 8 yr old watch!
Re: Good Affordable Service??
I bet IWW would be half that price. Jack does great work.

I am pretty sure that any quality chrono service is going to cost at least that much.

Jay did some OUTSTANDING case work on my Nimo, however 5 months was a bit long. I may just bite the bullet and know I'll be without my Orange for the entire summer.mattcantwin wrote:Check with Jay at MCWW.
Re: Good Affordable Service??
How much is the T-graph worth? Would that factor at all in your decision on servicing it?
Re: Good Affordable Service??
450 and up depending on who service it. Most charge 500 for a chronograph movement there is more work and time when servicing a chronograph movement you must of seen a photo on the net of one taken apart it's like a puzzle to put back together. And not all watchmakers are good when servicing a chronograph movement so don't be cheap or it will come back worse than when you sent it out for service some time's it's worth paying a higher price due to the watchmaker skill level.

Aloha .. Do not go with Jay for service - he subcontracts it and his watchmaker sucks. He does great mod work, case cleanup, etc, but movement work...
I heard Jack sucks as well, but I got that from Steven - not from personal experience.
Good luck!

Here is a link were you can look up the closest professional watchmaker one that went to school not on the job trainning like a lot of watchmakers out there that most of the time fuck up your watch instead of repairing it.
http://www.awci.com/repair-directory/
And make sure they are cert so you know they know there shit link with info on there certification and how they earn it. And CMW cert being the best trained a master watchmaker some body that won't mess up your watch not a shade tree mechanic watchmaker like most out there.
