Yeah that's what I was thinking. I've got a copy of an Omega pricelist from the 60's when the Speedmaster was something like £53/$85 ........scary indeed.

Not sure if you are trolling me Pat (well, mostly sure you are), but here goes;

Aside from the fact that it is new from '78...

1. Unseen transitional model during Aubrey acquisition. The below in one watch is very uncommon.
2. Shallow etched bezel on super-fat case.
3. Usually in Aubrey era there is a bezel insert, not painted non-comp bezel.
4. All accessories.
5. U.S. Divers association logo. I have never seen this late production model where Doxa still marketed through USD.
6. Non logo serialized caseback.
7. Rounded unsigned crown countersunk into super-fat case.

Mike are you going to get that watch serviced who knows if it was ever done.The oil in the movement is proberly dry as a bone and like Matt said the seal gaskets are proberly shot the rubber some times turn to goo some time's.Unless the seller had it done.
