10 Years of the DOXA SUB - free ebook

Post by flyingdoctor » Fri Nov 23, 2012 3:16 pm

Guys,

first post but hopefully one which you will like

took a while to finish this off but here is the final version of the 10 Years of the DOXA SUB ebook. It is formatted for an iPad but works equally well on any other tablet. On the iPad click the link and when it downloads, touch the screen and select open in iBooks. It topped out at 120 pages and represents the watches that DOXA have released over the last 10 years. You may be surprised at just how many have come out

Here is the link.

http://www.doxa300t.com/10years/10-Year ... XA-SUB.pdf

I know many people would prefer a paper version but I won’t be printing or selling any. However, I will make it available through Lulu.com for a short time. Unfortunately it is $30 which is exactly what it costs me if I want to buy it. I won’t add any markup for anyone because it is too darn expensive already. That's the problem with all the print on demand guys. 120 pages full colour and 1 or 2 books at a time is just too expensive. But there will be people who will want them so I'll make it available for a short time, maybe a week or so then take it down, thus making it pretty rare.

Lulu.com is having a 30% off sale from today until Monday. It has a code to enter when you order the books. DELIRITAS is the code. If you want to buy one, I’d suggest now would be a good time.

Here is the link to order the book.

http://www.lulu.com/content/paperback-b ... b/13361259

Just to make a couple of things clear. This is not an official DOXA book. They had nothing to do with it and no input. I’m not being paid and will receive nothing for it. It’s just something I wanted to do. I was working in Azerbaijan and bored mental so I thought I’d knock out a 20 pager but as you can now see, it grew arms and legs. Consequently any errors etc are purely mine. Not all the images are as sharp as I would have liked because I was unable to get high resolution versions and I failed to find a picture of the modern ladies Seamaid but other than that I’m pleased how it turned out.

Hope people like it.

Pete

Hi Pete,

Glad to see you stopped by with the link. Good stuff for sure.

We are a little wild and wooly around here, but you should recognize a bunch of names, and we have a good time. Hope you find it to your liking.

Doc! Great to hear from you and see that you are continuing with your passion of recounting the history of Doxa.

Hope that all is well with you, mate!

And thanks so much for the gratis e-book!

Hey Doc! I'll have to put this on my iphone. I already downloaded the DWL book (and I have the bound version of this already as well as the official Doxa book). Thanks for your hard work on this. I am currently Doxa-less but always looking for a nice vintage or 750t SR to add. Glad to have you aboard at DWC.
