My Jenny arrived!
First off, I'm always amazed that Doxa can send a watch from Austria, and it arrives here in the US the next day, thanks Doxa/Jenny!
Now, on to the watch. Pretty much what I expected, having had a few Doxas before, the quality is spot on. Nice case finish, smooth crown and bezel operation. The dial and bezel are drop dead gorgeous! I really like the applied indices and date window surround. I initially thought I'd immediately replace the strap with an isofrane, but I held off buying it until I got the watch. I may still order the isofrane, but it's not necessary, the strap is comfortable and secure.
One surprise to me is the size. Being 42mm, I expected it to wear like my 1200t, but it doesn't. Although the case dimensions are similar, the Jenny has a much larger dial and bezel, so at least visually it wears quite a bit larger. Not TOO big, mind you, but definitely bigger than the 42mm Doxas.
This is just a quick impression, I've only had it for a couple hours, but it's definintely a winner!

Wow, I like that more than I thought I would, especially after seeing the side view and confirming it is not 18mm thick like so much of what is coming out these days. I may have to re-think that one. Looks like a great candidate for a nato strap.
Re: My Jenny arrived!
to all the impressions so far. That looks fantastic!

I am surprised though that they aren't using the Jenny logo. Anyone know why?

Hmmm...
I like it.
I have bought Doxas direct in the past. It is "relatively" inexpensive.
The inevitable enabler flip aint going to be pretty. So I just did a order without hitting submit, and posted a FS all over the place without hitting submit, got an immediate bite, and I actually broke out even after paypal and shipping.
Whew.

Re: My Jenny arrived!
I like it more than I thought I would. Really nice case lines. How's the yellow in person? Bright and in your face or more muted?
Re: My Jenny arrived!
I am usually a sucker for any combo of black and yellow but I will reserve my judgement on the bezel until I see one.
Congrats in any case!

Re: My Jenny arrived!
I'd say it's bright, but not in your face at all. I don't think I'd want a watch with a full dial in this color, but I really like the splash of bright yellow.smalls wrote:I like it more than I thought I would. Really nice case lines. Thanks guys for the responses, and Happy Thanksgiving!

the Jenny fish did not appear until mid-sixties, the sword fish was the first logo used when the brand was established in 1963 and as this is a 50 year re-edition, Mr. Jenny wanted this logo in respect to his grandfather who created the logo for Jenny watches

Congratulations, that is a really cool re-edition.
I'm considering a black dial/orange bezel version.
