Posts like this from a new member and first poster I never believe and makes me think the story is twisted on their favor.
I'm not backing doxa as I know how there forum can be and some of their CS, but the problem here is we don't know this guy so he has ZERO credibility.

In case anyone can't follow the the argument, here's a simple meme to provide clarity:

Exactly what I was thinking at this point

1. We are not hard on people who come by and show a semblance of manners, watches or backbone, though not necessarily in that order, and not all are required. :ugeek:

2. $800 for Doxa service?

3. It's natural to wonder about a first post such as that.

4. Hope somehow the OP can get this squared away. I'm in the "get it back and have someone else look at it" camp.

If what he says is true, then I would also want the watch back. For the case to be totally fubar, something would have to be amiss. But, I will say that this is one of the fears I have with micros..when you want parts for a micro you're basically left praying that they had the foresight to anticipate the need in the future.
Oh, and I think the op did heed to the advice and fu%ked off ;)

I don't think archie is a spam queen compared to that guy who constantly posts IWC buckles for a million dollars.

Couple of things ...

1. I agree with Paul here in that we should let any new poster finish digging their grave before we chunk them in it. In this case, the OP may have gotten a few feet down with that post but I can't say for sure he has any intentions other than blowing off steam at a jacked up company like DOXA.

2. I think most if not all would agree that when we say DOXA sucks we are referring to what is now DOXA. I absolutely love the vintage (real) DOXAs.

3. I never for a second got the impression that ANYONE was gargling Archie's balls. I took all the comments to Archie as satire.

Welcome. How unfortunate that your experience with Doxa has been so unpleasant. I own a Sub 1000T and so far any cause for contact with Doxa has resulted in only positive response. I hate to think how i might react if a watch i purchased so recently suddenly became so impractical.

I certainly would feel that the whole experience of buying and owning an expensive piece had been soured considerably. I would hope also that others i was highlighting said negative experience to would be a little more supportive.

I hope the you enjoy some happy resolve in the future.

Having read some of the horror stories about Doxa's after sales service I tend to believe the fella. I have experienced some crap from Doxa myself when they quoted me over $100 for a 750T bracelet end link.
What can you do when you are treated so badly by a company, well the first thing you want to do is have a bloody good rant about it and that's exactly what he has done.
If its true, then we have learned one more lesson,if its not true then someone from Doxa should get on here and tell their side of it and I have no doubts Doxa keep an
eye out in this forum.
He doesn't seem to have posted about it in the WuS Doxa forum, but then again, how long would it have survived there
I don't think we will see him again but I would sure like to hear the end of the story.

Let's lighten things up. Keeping mine from submerging in deep water so hopefully I will never have an issue.
