disappointing... I like my Rambler but things like this is why I always think about selling it. I don't want to have to worry about replacement parts when the time comes.

Calling the OP that he lied about posting on the Doxa forum because he had only two posts and was proven wrong was funny also

Not sure on this one. Something tells me there is more to this.

As far as I am concerned DOXA USA = Mike Cook.

...and that's that.

Probably true. but it shouldn't even have gotten to the forums in the first place. Doxa CS should've just taken care of it privately. Just bad PR.

Agreed. This is precisely why a forum integrated business model is one I'd never pursue.

The thing I find odd is that they are defending & accusing the PO and they do not have the correct details for the issue at hand.

Threads like these( and there have been many) over at WUS in the Doxa forum, are enough to make me never want to buy the brand.

They are worse with their censoring than Invicta is over at geeks.

Shame, I really do like the look of a couple of Doxa watches, but just seeing the way they run their forum and scrub
anything that is not just glowing praise for the brand, is not good.

lol...

Actually it's kind of sad - both Doxa's seemingly snotty attitude and WUS's moderation process with Ernie himself closing the thread.

I LOVE me some Doxa, though..

Yep, Doxa needs to understand they really cannot win these types of quality control fights, and that private responses in an email with a customer get out to the public (with some regularity with them). The language barriers do not help either; just downright painful to try to read the back and forth.

Nothing really new here, historical trends of this nature make me wonder how the "new and improved" Doxa is still around...what a joke! BTW, these are the reasons I sold ALL my Doxa's and completely disassociate myself with this brand.

(ps...anyone need any Doxa straps, bracelets, boxes and tubes?)

I've owned 6 Doxas and facilitated three friends buying Doxas, also. But that was in the past. While I understand that some people like (LOVE) them, and I admit that there is a certain aesthetic appeal to them (I owned six, after all), I simply cannot get past the absolutely awful customer service and the QC issues that I have experienced with four of my six. I will not even touch on the litany of CS and QC issues that are everywhere on the web, as they can speak for themselves.

And then there is the whole on-line moderation ethos; reminds me of that line from Princess Leah to Grand Moff Tarkin in SW, "The more you tighten your grip, the more that will slip through your hands" (or words to that effect).

Anyway, each of us drinks are only particular brand of cool-aid, I guess.

Count me in as another who would likely own a Doxa if it were not for stories like this.
