Searambler or Blue Numa for next and only Doxa? *UPDATE*
Searambler or Blue Numa for next and only Doxa? *UPDATE*
Hey guys,
So I've decided my next watch is gonna be a Doxa 1200t. I miss the Searambler I had terribly. The uniquness of the design coupled with the rich history makes it a winner imo. The dark blue numa has caught my attention and looks great but I'm not sure if it's just the Numa patch on it. I wonder if I would tire of just the same blue dial. My question now is should I stick with the Searambler that I know I like or go for the blue Numa. I know this is strictly a personal taste question but for the sake of some watch talk I figured I would ask. I've talked to the resident Doxa whore and he's voting rambler, I think... The rambler sometimes looks a bit too dressy to be an everyday diver, but the blue might start to look boring without the orange minute hand. What say you?
Not my pic...(wish it was then I wouldn't have this problem)

If I had to choose between the two I would go with the Searambler.

I'm a fan of the blue dial. However, you cannot go wrong with the silver either.

Love the Numa patch, but the Searambler wins in the end for versability

Searambler...
Re: Searambler or Blue Numa for next and only Doxa?
If you really like the Numa , you can order a set of hands for
the Searambler from Doxa service. Cost is about $125 or so.
That will give you the fabled ORANGE minute hand and a
rather unique NUMA!!

Partial to the NUMA dial, myself...
Re: Searambler or Blue Numa for next and only Doxa?
Not a huge fan of "branded" dials (yes, even comex). I'd personally stick with the 'rambler.

NUMA blue gets my vote.... but I'm a sucker for a blue dial + I like the whole logo thing that Doxa have going on.... it's part of the history of the brand in a way.
Good luck - can't really go wrong either way.

I love each and every DOXA color .... but if I only had one it would be ORANGE. In your case, get the rambler.
Re: Searambler or Blue Numa for next and only Doxa?
Well I think I'm leaning toward the Rambler right now. Been looking for a watch that would look great on an iso and the rambler would look killer.

Searambler plus orange Iso would look fantastic.smalls wrote:Well I think I'm leaning toward the Rambler right now. Been looking for a watch that would look great on an iso and the rambler would look killer.

Searambler. One of the best for beach to boardroom versatility.

Well I just opened up a Rambler and I couldn't be happier. Never should have sold this one in the first place. One of the best looking diver's in person and there's just no other watch like it. Thanks for steering me in the right direction guys!
Re: Searambler or Blue Numa for next and only Doxa? *UPDATE*
Looks great Matt. I agree that there is just nothing else like it, and after going through a 750t to a 1200t I have settled on the vintage 300t SR (for now at least).

Nice choice, Matt. The SR dial is just beautiful and the 1200 is the perfect size. Congrats!

Nice! So does this wear bigger than a 600?
