For your amusement

Post by lilhoody » Thu Nov 24, 2011 8:55 pm

I'm not sure why I never posted this before. I was looking through my old PMs for some info and came across this exchange between Doxa and me, from last year. Enjoy.

Dear Sir,
I enjoy your watches. I enjoy the unique look, history and the access which comes with dealing with a samll company. As of late, I can't say that enjoyment has been the same.

Please don't take this as a threat or a lecture on how to do business, it is simply my current feeling about the state of Doxa. Know too, I am not the only customer or potential customer who feels this way.

With at least two of you from Doxa moderating this forum, I hardly see the need to use two additional moderators. One is a bully the other a sycophant. Their association with your company turns my stomach and has kept me from visiting the Doxa forum on WUS as of late. When I have, it has been purely for entertainment purposes. You don't need either of these two representatives to continue to grow your business.

I don't visit MKII watches forum for a similar reason and won't buy one either. Unfortunately, your business is in that same boat for now.
Hi Darin, we respect your POV, but I guess you need to address those who ruin the climate of the forum being moved or directed by competitors, or being disguised competitors, who enjoy spoiling the climate ove here, this has been happening for 10 years now and as we run a public forum, we need the help of members like you to speak up against those bashers, this way, the moderators will not interfere, please let us know what you think, we are open for any inputs to improve this forum and make an enjoyable place to be

DOXA
I have been known to speak my mind here; to members and moderators alike. I have received infractions and soft warnings, even had posts or threads deleted. Without knowing the dynamics of what you guys allege or who these "kamikaze" competitors are, I'm not going to pick fights with those who disagree with Doxa or dislike a policy, practice or product. That is your job and you will do as you see fit.

My point, which may have been lost is, those of you from Doxa who moderator/administrate this board are more than enough. It is your two outside moderators that make this place intolerable at times. I would even guess that their heavy handed, rude and sycophant ways generate some of the disharmony on your forum. Because they are such asses, I suspect people mess with them more than they would otherwise.

In short, TBone and JCMclvoy are very poor representatives of your business. With the internet being a major component of your business and WUS having perhaps the largest group of potential buyers, these two do more harm than the perceived good of fighting away said "kamikaze" competitors.
They never responded to this second PM.

You could copy and paste the same emails, change the name to aquanet and send them to that company as well.

No doubt,Bill, the watches are nice. I just cant stand their business model/ forum/ secret squirrel shit.

The 1000 series rocks, IMHO. Great bang for the buck.

That was pretty well written Darin. The fact that they didn't respond simply shows that they are well aware, and in fact support the douchebaggery of their moderators. Seriously, those two guys freakin' suck. Jay isn't as bad, but T-Bone is a fucking tool. That guy should be the poster boy for "how NOT to moderate".

BD, apparently the issues do not lie with the Doxa mods, but rather the ruffians that ruined the forum for everyone else.

Oops, seems like I've not looked in on our Doxa forum in a while.
In answer to your question,i will go and see now....
Appears ok,I'm not banned so all is well with the world

I will be posting a complaint about my orange Doxa rubber strap at the weekend. It has Sun fade, which they claim its resistant to but I rarely use it apart from holidays in Tenerife so that's only a few weeks Sun over the last couple of years and it also has some strange black marks inside the rubber.
I wonder what weird excuses they will give me
