5000t Pro on Isofrane

Iso arrived today, so on the Doxa it goes.
I defeated the almost impossible loctite screwbars last week, so strapping it on was easy as pie. The pain of that loctite is not easily forgotten though.
First impressions of the Isofrane is that its soft!, also it is quite thick, so no hiding under shirt cuffs for this combo.
Because of its softness, it has a lot of 'give', so it has quite a forgiving fit. Wear it tight and it stretches a bit around the wrist, wear it looser and feels pretty balanced without flopping about too much.

I said Italian Greyhound, not Italian Gheyhound
Although he does have a muscular, almost hairless body, so Pasquale could be a good name
His name is Jester.

revisiting this one…I, for one, would like to know how the hell you got those lug screwbars to come out. I had a 5000T Pro (see above) but could never get those f'ers to unscrew.
Oh, and awesome dog! Rocky says WERD.

I followed a few tips from other threads such as soaking the bracelet/lugs in hot water (just from the tap, not boiling!), and just went at it, screwdriver in each hand with the watch resting on something soft.
The first bar came out without too much trouble actually, but the next one took 2 more sessions over a couple of nights before I got it.
I started using 2 bergeon screwdrivers, 2.0 and 2.5mm but switched the 2.0 out with another 2.5mm screwdriver from a different set.
You really need quality screwdrivers because you have to put a lot of torque into them.
I think what got me over the line was the second screwdriver was not a thin 'watchmaker' type screwdriver, but rather had a bit more width in the handle, allowing better grip.
You basically have to very very slowly crank on the power using your wrists while keeping the drivers straight, and only apply enough pressure on the screwhead to keep the driver tip in place, but not so much that you spear off and stab yourself (or worse put a big scratch in your case!)
No shit it was one of the hardest things I have ever physically done. The tip of my thumb still has no feeling in it and I had bergeon shaped bruises in the palm of my hand for a week.
The irony is that I will probably put the bracelet back on before long.
At least if I sell the Doxa, I can advertise that the screwbars have been vanquished - Thats got to be worth a price premium!

Awesome Matt. yeah, after all that shit I'd probably charge a little extra too.
