The Forstner does seem better than the Uncle Seiko. Two choices though, any preference?
One has spring links under the clasp. The one with push button clasp doesn't have the spring links.

Fingers crossed this one works out. Got a really good deal on this one. Downside for me is it comes with unworn soft leather strap and not bracelet. However the price left me with enough funds for a Forstner bracelet. I'll get the Vanguard rubber strap at some point too, one of you guys are bound to be selling one sooner or later

I'm kind of curious about this eBay "authenticator" service.

On one hand I agree it does offer some piece of mind, especially with an expensive (and commonly replicated) item such as a luxury watch.

On the other hand, I am a little curious about how they go about authenticating the watch itself. I've heard some of these replicas are so good, it requires opening the case and inspecting the movement.

I suspect there could be an issue if the eBay authenticator says "it is OK" but my personal watchmaker says "it is a franken". I guess that is where the PayPal return policy kicks in.

Back on topic, Andy, that is a lovely looking watch.

It was actually the watch I was going get for myself until the Seiko SLA017 came on the scene and pulled me away.

I'll own a Tudor someday. I have a lot of respect for the brand.

I'm really not sure if they take the case back off, maybe they would if they had their suspicions. The company used here is the UK branch of the American company Stoll & co. Seems they certainly are experts on watches.

I don’t believe the ones you linked have the spring link. I owned the Forstner Jubilee style when I had my blue BB58. It was wonderful; looked great and was comfortable.

The “Model O” oyster style has both the push-button milled clasp and the spring link under clasp. That would probably be my pick when back in stock.

The “contemporary flat link” is also nice looking and has the push button milled clasp, no spring link, but is more substantial than the “regular” flat link in that the latter lacks the push button milled clasp and it’s lighter construction.

The rubber strap I would choose is the Everest, as it is made to use with the stock Tudor Deployant strap. I’d never wear the leather strap anyway.

It arrived, I love it

Popped it on the Chronissimo for now. The Vanguard rubber strap arrives on Monday but unfortunately I won't be here as we're off to Tenerife on Saturday.

Amazing, ordered the Vanguard strap on Tuesday & it arrived from Dubai this evening. Better still, Customs didn't nab it
