White Milgauss back from full service.

Post by john wilson » Fri Aug 02, 2019 8:37 pm

So I sold my black dial Milgauss. Two days later I say why did I do that. The hunt was on. Used white for $4500. No warranty card but has the box and Milgauss manual. No bracelet. Came with a very nice rubber B (orange) and Rolex clasp. I buy a new Milgauss bracelet from my AD. about $1500. I have my AD send it to Rolex N.Y. Full service $780. Only took 3 weeks! No kidding! Beautiful polish..like new! The bad news. A speck of dirt on the dial at 7 and a speck on the 5 o'clock batton. Sent it back.

So I get it back. The back case had three scratches. No shit. So my AD shipped it that day over night and called a sup at Rolex. Anther 3 weeks. 9 total .
P.S.
Did a full service on my Omega X33 . I get it back from service with the bracelet on backwards!!!!!!! And they never took the bezel off too clean underneath and replace the ratcheting spring. My AD sent it back no charge. They also sent a letter of apology.

It seems like everything watch related is getting shittier, all while getting more expensive.
Not exactly great :banghead:
Ciao Andrea.
I agree . Thousands of Dollars for a new watch and shit for service. 20 years ago it was much better! It was done right the very first time!

It isn't just the watch world. I work in IT, and over the years, the hardware and software support we pay vendors dearly for has been getting worse and worse.
