I understand why Tudor rides the B.B. so hard. They suck at design and got lucky.

And they’ll produce a bunch and flood the dealers to distract from the GMT date wheel fiasco.

So let me get this straight, isn't this watch based off a fake prototype years ago?

Tudor definitely seems back in their "these watches suck ass" cycle, just like when they went from the Rolex based designs to all the turds like ^^^Panerai7 wrote: ↑Wed Mar 20, 2019 8:42 amWhat do you mean, they usually have excellent designsJP Chestnut wrote: ↑Wed Mar 20, 2019 4:53 amI understand why Tudor rides the B.B. so hard. Re: New Tudor Sub?
I would have been surprised if they had actually done the Submariner that people were anticipating. I thought it would be sort of a Sub/Black Bay hybrid. While I sort of admire their attempt to think outside the box, in this case they should have just stayed in their box, because the design is just bad IMO. Aside from the whole lug system being unnecessary, I just don't see how anyone is going to be able to wear it, the lugs are just too long.

The amazing thing about this watch is that the weird North Flag is a total shit seller, so they released an even weirder watch? WTF.

Funny I really like the North Flag. It sinks into the wrist perfectly. I just wish it didn't have fixed lugs.JP Chestnut wrote: ↑Wed Mar 20, 2019 9:10 amThe amazing thing about this watch is that the weird North Flag is a total shit seller, so they released an even weirder watch? WTF.

No, they say they made one and the navy didn’t want it 50 some years ago...toxicavenger wrote:So let me get this straight, isn't this watch based off a fake prototype years ago?

Re: New Tudor Sub?
I like the idea of it. I'd love an OysterQuartz, but I haven't been able to hunt a NOS Buckely dial. The North Flag would be a decent alternative, but I don't like anything besides the case. If they put a DJ style handset and dial on it, I'd try it out.toxicavenger wrote: ↑Wed Mar 20, 2019 9:13 amFunny I really like the North Flag. It sinks into the wrist perfectly. Weird because i am pretty positive when this fake came out about 10 years ago Tudor/Rolex said they never made one like that.tattoo chef wrote: ↑Wed Mar 20, 2019 9:14 amNo, they say they made one and the navy didn’t want it 50 some years ago...toxicavenger wrote:So let me get this straight, isn't this watch based off a fake prototype years ago?

Re: New Tudor Sub?
I'm stocking up on popcorn for the moment is discovered that Tudor remade a fake of a watch that never exisited.
I wonder if they're the ones who paid over 100K for it in 2004?

Re: New Tudor Sub?
Terrible showing by Rolex & Tudor. Has the world really been crying for a two-tone Sea Dweller? Really? They can’t keep up with demand for their stainless sport models, so let’s produce an ugly version to waste production space. Brilliant.
The Tudor sub thing is just disgusting.
We can only hope there is something good to be released during the later days of Basel. If not, I’m not excited about anything this year.
Sinn: new 43mm Artkis is kinda cool, but still not adjustable clasp. C’mon Sinn! I’d have liked to see an EZM 1.1 style piece but without chronograph. Oh well, no need to get excited about Sinn this year either.
While Omega doesn’t play at Basel anymore, I’m still hoping for a sword hands version of the new Omega SMP.

Re: New Tudor Sub?
Seiko sucks pretty bad. Omega has sucked for a while, with a small few exceptions. Rolex is starting to suck.
Watches were so much better in 2000.

Re: New Tudor Sub?
I am ok with this new Tudor sucking so bad. It actually sucks so badly in the worst way. It’s amazing that they released something that looks this shitty.
Anyway. I’m ok with it because now I can just realize that the BB58 is my watch I’ll buy when I’m not broke. So I still have that to look forward to.
