Its the lighting. The hands you can see in person.Seppia wrote:Don't know if it's the light, but the hands are semi invisible. I also vastly prefer aluminum to ceramic
But I agree with Paul, yawn!

I like it, but I like my thin hand SS version better.

If it were 42 I'd have it with white dial

I am not a fan of any of the ceramic models, though I have owned one in the past, good ol aluminum for me. Plus who knows if these things will ever get any patina other than scratches and dents in the SS....Sapphire crystal, ceramic bezel (no beautiful fade or ghosting), and I am guessing no patina on the luminova vs. Tritium

I'm usually not a fan of upsizing Rolex models, but the Daytona needs to be 42, then they wouldn't wear so small.Panerai7 wrote:If it were 42 I'd have it with white dial

I've been saying for years 41mm is the perfect compromise. It would allow for a 2mm larger dial.
only accurate watches are interesting

I like it, but I like the SS version also.
There's a steady supply of these on the secondary market selling for around $17k.
I'm willing to wait for the the price to settle to a reasonable (below retail) level.

If the Daytona were increased by 2mm (nominally to 42) people would still bitch about the size. It's a small dial watch.

The thing I notice the most about it is how thin it is. I'm used to 15mm chronos. So the sub-13mm thickness is a revelation.
