New Tudor model announcement

Post by dukerules » Sat Nov 12, 2016 7:19 pm

Something, presumably something big, is coming. Perhaps a GMT, perhaps a true reissue Snowflake, perhaps a BB with date, perhaps a new dial color for the BB or Pelagos. We'll know soon enough.

I don't think a gmt would be a big deal. It's not like they have a great iconic gmt model to draw on.

i don't get excited for the new Tudor anymore.

Give me a true sub reissue, one that isn't so freaking tall and shiny, one that is about 40mm with a date, and I will be happy. But for the last few years, they have been duds.

I'm hoping that they bring out a sub based on the 16610 case, with a new style bracelet. Too much to hope for, I know, but that (in blue) would actually be worth getting excited about.

If they just redid the blue snowflake, they would be minting money.

:salute:

I hear that. I'm not a fan of supersized reissues. That, and the garish, colored crown tube. That's something out of Seiko's playbook.

Which case though? The weird crown BB? I'd like a proper thin mid case, large bezel, diver. Watch it be a white dial ranger.

Will be watching it closely
With Pelagos being so awesome I'm itching to add another model of Tudor in the stable
Just please don't make it a sub clone with a Tudor movement

Please nothing green :)

My guess it's a 39-41 Heritage BB with in-house or Ranger in-house

That TRF tread is getting frothy. Lots of chatter saying signs on Tudor's IG point to a Tudor Sub with pre-ceramic sub case. I'd be into a snowflake with an in-house movement, even if it had a ceramic bezel.

That was mostly wishful thinking... by me.

True. You've done good work.

But if it's not a Snowflake or a BB Date, why's Tudor post that shit on its IG?

If it's a Tudor Sub I'd probably have to immediately flip the incoming Doxa reissue and get one.

Very curious to see what they have up their sleeve. Everything on IG seems to point to a new diver.

I think that super late 79190 that they posted suggests something good. If it's just a BB date, people will be disappointed.

So, so what does this mean? What numbers on Tudor? Like bronze BB numbers? Ranger has numbers

"Spotted coffee"

I wonder if it's an ultra fake tropical dial.
