It's supposedly a numbered release. Not limited. Numbered - Tudor is definitely Rolex SA's answer to omega.
I actually like this one. I was hopping for something better, but it's attractive.

It's vintage patina lume, so not full-on piss, but not bright white.marchone wrote:I kinda like it too. No piss lume I can see.
The date wheel sucks. This one is a dud for me.
As for the wall of text, I can personally vouch that it's way more of an eye sore in pics then on the wrist. I don't even notice it on mine anymore.

I like the red date wheel. It's a fun throwback. Tudor does piss lume better than most, and it's a surprisingly nice addition on this one. The Pelagos has always been criticized as being too austere and the lume warms it up nicely.
If it were 40mm I'd give it a go.

Re: New Tudor model announcement
How many versions of the Pelagos has Tudor done now in the last 3 years? So much hype, so much of a let down.

Re: New Tudor model announcement
It always puzzles me that watch manufacturers can somehow manage to get it right on the first iteration of a watch and then incrementally screw it up with each subsequent iteration. The Omega Planet Ocean is one prominent example that springs to mind and Tudor has managed the same feat with the Pelagos.

The 70-hour PR is a big improvement alone.
only accurate watches are interesting
Re: New Tudor model announcement
Slight improvement for some? Sure. A ground breaking release for true Tudor fans? Not even close.
Tudor is completely out of touch. Maybe Hillary is heading their R&D.
I remember going into a Rolex AD with a Tudor sub, asking about service options. The guy there accused me of owning a fake submariner. Then Tudor came back to the states and was a big hit.

I dig the red text on the dial, and the red date wheel. But the red is usually hard to see on a date wheel. Maybe if they only did "Sunday" in red like the og Tudor's. The flipped case is a waste of time though. And what a small market to try and connect with.

Gen 1 is the best for sure. If they had just added the roulette date wheel and Pelagos in red it would have been better IMHO.

Someone already said it in the TRF thread, but they have created "The Homer".
Let's add all of the little things that people want into one monstrosity. Great idea, let's do that!

Can it be modded and the dial flipped so that the crown is at 3?toxicavenger wrote:The flipped case is a waste of time though.

What og Tudor just had a red Sunday?
I just know the roulette date wheels that are red on even numbers

No way Jacob, you're usually the biggest opponent of fake tritium lume. dark matte industrial looking Pelagos doesn't even work with any color lume but white IMO. Red date although paying homage to some old models doesn't work as well as white for the symmetry of the dial in relation to 9 o'clock marker (see pic below).... Anyway, way to build it up with all of the hints on IG and then release a destro Pelagos instead of a new interesting model.JP Chestnut wrote:Same as this one. All this hype for 4 subtle changes?? Beige markers, red date, one line of red text and crown at 9? Really?

Re: New Tudor model announcement
The Tudor website pictures make it look like a nice honey colored lume, like an old MM300. Someone on TRF posted a picture where it looked like the usual beige piss. Either way, no more destro watches for me. I have no idea why people would want a crown that digs into the back of their hand.Panerai7 wrote:No way Jacob, you're usually the biggest opponent of fake tritium lume. dark matte industrial looking Pelagos doesn't even work with any color lume but white IMO. That two liner looks really nice on your wrist. I'd definitely buy one if I could wear it.
