SDC (C is for Costco)

Post by TSD » Sat Oct 29, 2016 7:41 am

Just had to stop and ask them to let me look. Anybody ever consider getting a Rolex at Costco? No Rolex warranty, I understand. Reasonable price for the Costco return policy?

Thats awesome. I would buy it, just to say I bought it at Costco.

Oh and............welcome to costco, I love you!
Was that wrong? Should I not have done that?

I worry about someone buying a genuine watch and returning a fake. I think an AD stands a better chance of spotting a fake. Costco, I'm not so sure. That said, I probably worry too much.

Their prices are too high. The only way it makes sense, is if you intend to abuse the return policy.

Price is good for a big grey dealer. Better than the established online ones. And only slightly more than gently used.

You can get a new one from an AD from a forum dealer for a few hundred more.

I've never understood all the trf threads on "look what I found at Costco". Most are for stuff you can get for the same or less money from a dealer. shruggee

Did you go to Med School there? I heard they have a good Law School, but I haven't heard about their medical program.

They surely wouldn't catch it, but I doubt it would go back in the case for sale until it was verified. Since everything is tracked by member number and it requires ID to join, they would absolutely come after the shitball who tries this.

I read on another forum somewhere that's exactly what happens. They don't refund your money until it has been verified (a couple of weeks). Not personal experience mind you, but I read it on the internet so it must be true!

Yep, Costco would have to be a good 15-20% under the discounted price for me to go this route, not just a couple hundred under. The taxes will eat up that small difference.

It's been a while. Found it on a google search. They had a YMII at my local Costco for $13k and falling each month, so I got curious. Apologies if mentioning another forum is taboo!
