What do we think of this brushed case/bezel SubC

Post by rockmastermike » Wed Apr 13, 2016 11:58 pm

This may have come up before but it's up for sale a SubC with brushed case and Bezel
From TRF: http://www.rolexforums.com/showthread.php?t=467360

I like the bezel. The case not so much.

Thoughts?

I love it, sans the red seconds hand.

Kinda meh, thought I'd like it.

Red second hand looks better with a normal bezel and case. A mod I'd do if I had one...

I like it, but wouldn't pay extra for it.

I like it. Nice option for someone not liking the "bling" that a sub brings. Why I like the Pelagos so much.

I like it, minus the red hand. If it were cheaper than a regular model, it would be tempting.

The case looks ok, not a fan of the brushed bezel. The red second had looks just plane dumb.
cheers,

Bezel is perfect. Rest of the mods I can do without on that watch, including bracelet removal

Agreed, Pelagos is still a better watch minus the movement (for some) ;)

The second hand and the blasted crown was a mistake. I say add chamfering and it's a winner.

Brushing was done poorly. Looks very coarse. And brushing on lugs is straight up/down versus the circular pattern that Rolex actually does on brushed lugs.

Bezel is great. Offer $5K with the OG seconds hand back on.

Looks good, but I think I wouldn't spend too much on this one.
Well, since the watch was sold almost a year ago (when this thread was last active) you shouldn't have to worry about it much.
