All I see it a repaired case, is there more to him?

That case was repaired using the same techniques required to perform your modification. He might be cheaper, or easier to schedule, than ABC.

I'm not yet 100% on if/what I want, but I am 100% that I'd have ABC do it. They have a strong history of solid Rolex work, so I'd be more comfortable using them.

Thanks though. :)

I agree, just it might be an option down the road.

Oh and Zack has a guy who does some high end case work also.

Is there a way to get another case?

Yes. Rolex will get you an "S" case at service. There's no conceivable way that it wouldn't be more expensive than just taking it up the ass selling a modded watch.

I'd say see if ABC can get a spare case and do the work on that. To me it makes the most sense.

Ed, what is it that you like about the subC over the 14060?

LOL! It wears larger and I have a larger wrist. I owned a 14060M and it was fine when contrast against my 36mm Explorer, but today it's just too small for me. I probably should just sell the damned 114060 and get another Planet Ocean 8500....

gotcha. wanted to make sure you weren't missing the obvious. Those prices seem very reasonable, but you would clearly be devaluing the watch. the matte bezel is pretty cool

I'd try to find a good deal on a watch with a messed up lug before doing those mods to a pristine example.

As much as I love my 114060 and the no-date dial, maybe I sell it and the Tudor Ranger to pick up a SDc....

This is what I'm gonna do minus the drilled lugs. SDc only needs the matte bezel to be perfect.
