DSSD incoming!

Post by PGERRITY » Fri Mar 11, 2016 7:58 pm

Well, Wu helped me out big time and I was able to grab my most sought after piece from him, the DSSD. To say I'm pumped is putting it lightly. Anyway, I plan on wearing it daily as I did my SubC, but I also think I might want to have it brushed out as it's seen better days
I haven't decided yet...
Is this something that RSC should do or would you feel comfortable sending yours to a watchmaker? I've never dealt with RSC before, so I have no idea. Ideas? Input?

I would get a very light brush from a private shop. Don't get it polished down too much- especially since you'll be beating it up too.

Congrats. I think this was Graham's watch and he wore it as intended. Don't touch the finish, just wear and enjoy.

Don't touch it - and when you have it services tell them to leave the finish alone

Thanks guys, yep it was Grahams and I'm super happy to be getting it. I wasn't sure about even touching the finish, but wanted to know either way. Like I said I plan on making it a daily wearer, so it might be better not to touch it at the end of the day...

I'd also leave it as is. Original finish is always preferable to me!

Congrats again!

Nice Pat!! Remember if you brush it you are taking away metal. So I would leave as is personally.
