Bamford Rolex Commandos

Rolex reliability. Military-inspired looks. These Bamford Rolex Commando Watches take Rolex's Submariner and Milgauss models and send them through the watch equivalent of boot camp. Each of the lineups' watches features an original color scheme made possible by Graphite Particle Coating technology that coats the cases in unique hues and leaves them with a long-lasting finish. The dials are also custom, coated in complementary colors with a military-style typeface for the markers, and are finished with Commando branding. Matching metal bracelet included.

Once again Bamford ruins what is one of the best looking modern watches on the market.

I kind of like the Milgause if they delete the "commando" part.

What happens when you send one of these into Rolex for a service?

Those are both worse than any of a million horrid Seiko mods I have seen. Good Lord.

According to the BWD website:

"The Bamford Watch Department customisation is undertaken independently of the various watch brands such as Rolex, Patek Philippe, Audemars Piguet and Heuer etc. This means that while the original brands warranties are no longer applicable, your watch is covered by the Bamford Watch Departments own full five year guarantee"

Not sure what would happen at service, maybe they send someone to slap you for ruining the watch. That said I quite like the look of some of the PVD models although I'd never buy one. They are also stupidly expensive, double the price of a Rolex to PVD coat a watch?

The Bamford family should stick to heavy equipment.

Changed my mind, have to have the gold yachtmaster with popeye arms!!

Perfect. I'm sure we can count on Bamford still being around in 20 years.

I'm positive doing this to your Rolex would void the warranty, and I've heard Rolex won't even work on it, regardless if you're willing to pay for service (not sure how true that is, though).

The Bamford cost is so high I doubt many of its customers care. It's just another trinket to their demographic.

If you have to one buy an older model out of warranty and send it to Jack for a full DLC job. There are independents still around that will service it. ABC?

I've worn the Popeye watch. It would be fun if it wasn't so crazy expensive.
