Thoughts on this 1680?
About to pull the trigger but thought I'd run it by the DWC experts first. Anything jump out as being wrong on this one?

DAMN, that looks great and who ever did the work to the case did it just right from what I can tell. The lugs look like they are thicker than most I have seen.

Is that how the endlinks are supposed to fit?

this is common on a ton of vintage rolex's, they get flattened over time or have never been adjusted to fit correctlyJoeprez wrote:Is that how the endlinks are supposed to fit?

Looks okay from those pics except for the clasp. Maybe aftermarket?
Here's what a 93150 clasp should look like:
And if the clasp is aftermarket, there's probably reason to believe the whole bracelet is.

Maybe the seller just forgot he had an aftermarket braceletmatt.wu wrote:Looks okay from those pics except for the clasp. Maybe aftermarket?

Case looks ok. Lug holes look clean and not dished out.
Maybe ask for a better shot of the dial. Check around the dial edges for chips. Markers and hands look quite white, which is possible, but I'd want a better look.
Bezel insert looks like a replacement. Pearl is likely luminova.

The only thought I have is Rolex should go back to that lug shape.
only accurate watches are interesting
Re: Thoughts on this 1680?
I've never owned one like that. I guess that doesn't mean it's not possible. I'm definitely not an expert.toxicavenger wrote:Hey Wu I did a search and seen a few with holes like that on the clasp, weird. http://forums.watchnet.com/index.php?t= ... 0084&rid=0

Re: Thoughts on this 1680?
Bezel insert is a service replacement. The lower right lug is a tad thinner than the others but I'd like to see a better picture from the caseback to really see the lugs. I'd ask for pics of marking on the bracelet/clasp/endlinks to see if it's legit - I don't think it is.
