I had no idea that a Milgauss of this vintage would go for almost $30k.

You should search the earlier MIlgauss reference 6541

I still want to hit Jacek's shop one of these days I decide to spend an afternoon in the city. I bought a 1675 from him long ago (via mail) and was a great overall experience.

My uncle Salvador had one of these. He was a great man, died about 15 years ago and it went to his son from his first marriage. I hope he kept it and didn't hock it.

From a mechanical standpoint, I know you can get a much "better" watch for this kind of money, but there's just something about these older Daytonas that I find really appealing. It's all academic for me anyways unless I hit Power Ball.
